Christa is a 14-year-old girl from Mississippi. She’s always been very active and competitive. Her father was an athlete, and he always told her that being a girl was no obstacle to being an excellent athlete or whatever she wanted to do in life. She always looked up to her dad, and he always encouraged her to do her very best. He said, “No matter what you do, do it with all your heart, and do it the best you can.”

Christa grew up dreaming of becoming an important person. At school she studied hard to be one of the best in her class. When she was 7 she became interested in athletics. She ran faster than most of her classmates, boys or girls; she jumped higher than most of her classmates, and she jumped longer than anybody. At school competitions she was the fastest runner and did the highest jumps. She really is awesome!

She entered a gym where they are preparing her for the next Olympics. At the age of 14, she hopes to win at least two gold medals for her country.
