Dear Doctor Love,

I’m so sad. I’ve been going out with this boy for about two years now. I love him deeply, but last Saturday, when we were in my apartment watching a movie, I accidentally dropped his wallet.

When the wallet hit the floor, some documents came out. I rushed to pick them up, and he yelled, "No!". At that moment, I saw some photos. The photos were of a woman and three children. I said normally, "Your children are beautiful", and he answered out of habit, "Thanks. They’re great kids."

At that moment, he realized what had happened and tried to come up with a lie. Finally, he confessed. He said he loved me, and that the woman is in fact his wife, but that he doesn’t love her and wants to get a divorce to be with me.

I’m so confused. I love him, but I don’t know if I can believe him. What should I do? Should I believe him, or should I kick him out of my life?
