🧩 Grammar Core: Future Obligations

How do we talk about obligations in the future?

In the present, we use "have to" (I have to work). But to talk about obligations in the future, we need to add our future auxiliary WILL.

✅ Affirmative: Subject + will have to + verb
Example: I will have to travel to Germany.

❌ Negative: Subject + won't have to + verb
(Do NOT say: "will don't have to". That is incorrect!)
Example: I won't have to work on weekends.

❓ Question: Will + Subject + have to + verb?
Example: Will you have to work on Sunday?

Imagine HAVE TO as heavy metal chains (an obligation).
Imagine WILL as a Time Machine.

Native speakers rarely pronounce every single letter.
• Will have to sounds like "will-haf-tuh".
• Won't have to sounds like "won't-haf-tuh".
The "v" in have changes to an "f" sound! Listen and repeat.
🏃 TPR Action: Point forward with your finger (Future/Will) and then cross your wrists together (Obligation/Have to). Say: "I will have to study!"
