Me too! Agreeing on Plans and Decisions
Rules: The teacher will read a sentence. If it is TRUE for you, you must STAND UP quickly and shout:
My sister wants to travel to Europe, and I do too. She wants to travel light, and so do I. She and her friends are planning to take their tents and camp to save money, and I am too.
She’s not going to sleep in expensive hotels, and I’m not either. She won’t take too much money, and neither will I. She wants to travel by train throughout Europe, and so do I.
She’s going to be there for three weeks, and I am too, but she’s going next summer, and I am going in winter. I want to go to some ski resorts because I love skiing, but she doesn’t!
To agree with someone in English, you must COPY their auxiliary verb (do, am, will, can). You cannot just say "Me too" for everything!
Step 1: Write down 3 true things about your future plans or preferences (Positive or Negative).
Stand up! Read one of your sentences to a partner.
If your partner agrees, they must say: "So do I!" or "I don't either!" (depending on your sentence).
If they disagree, they just say: "Oh, I do." or "Oh, I don't."
